Manhattan Gazette offers reward for information, animal cruelty case

NEW YORK, NY - Back in August, a defenseless Shih Tzu was cruelly discarded down a trash chute inside a 17 story Lower East Side building, inflicting such serious injuries that the dog had to be euthanized.

Manhattan Gazette subsequently started a Change.org petition, which quickly garnered over 1,000 signatures after the New York Post wrote an article about it.

It is one of those disturbing instances of animal cruelty that incensed residents yet has law enforcement dragging their feet and taking their time. This is all despite the fact that since day one they have known the building in which the perpetrator resides.

When: Between 22nd August 2024 and 23rd August 2024

Where: 180 South St., New York, NY 10038.

The incident shocked and horrified the people of our city, and in the absence of any meaningful effort by the NYPD to apprehend this criminal, Manhattan Gazette is coming forward to offer a reward of up to $2,500 for any information that leads to the arrest(s) and prosecution of the person(s) guilty of this heinous crime.
