Hi, I’m moving to NYC on Nov 6 and will be searching for a studio or 1br to start immediately. Seeking opinions on whether finding and locking down an apartment within the span of a week is overly optimistic or possible? I know the market moves fast!
MOved in a rent stabilized apartment at Covid time, building had the 421-a tax abatement.
In the lease renewal it says the abatement expiration is 2027.
Does that mean that my apartment will automatically not be rent stabilized by then? And they will raise rent to market rate?
